This session will be led by the brilliant Jo Southall (Occupational Therapist) and awesome Kim Clayden (Psychotherapist) – both of whom have lived experience and really ‘get it’. Jo and Kim will give a broad overview of hypermobility, the possible causes and the ways it may affect you. They’ll also talk about the signs you may miss (do you regularly catch your sleeve on a door handle too 😊?) and would love this part of the session to be interactive and hear about your experiences. They will also provide recommendations for on things to look out for; how to navigate key life events and transition points; practical tips and advice on simple things you can do to look after yourself – whether you are mildly or more severely affected. There will be plenty time for Q&A. Dr Philip Bull, Rheumatologist, will be joining the Q&A section of the call, alongside Jo and Kim.

Keep an eye on our socials as we’ll have more things coming up which we’ll share very soon...
Tell your story and help us to raise awareness
As part of our awareness month this June we want to bring our community together, to share stories and raise awareness about hypermobility – whatever the cause, whatever the severity. Can you help us? We are looking for people to tell their stories…either on video (max 2 minutes), audio or using written words (max 500 words, ideally 300) or drawings/pictures. Tell us your story in the way that works best for you.
Patient stories and lived experience are important tools in raising awareness and improving understanding of hypermobility related symptoms and issues, and in patient peer support - so we can feel connected, know we aren't alone, and learn from each other's experiences. We are really keen to hear from everyone affected with symptomatic hypermobility whatever the cause – e.g. Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, hEDS, EDS, Marfan Syndrome, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Stickler Syndrome, Pseudoxanthoma elasticum, acquired symptomatic hypermobility or another related condition.
The theme for the stories is ‘overcoming challenges’. We’d love you to tell us about how hypermobility affects your daily lives, the main challenges or issues for you personally AND the things that you have found most helpful to manage your symptoms and improve you quality of life (e.g. it could be managing fatigue, pain, gastro issues, - whatever is most relevant to you.)
How to share: You can share you stories here (If you have any questions, please email: stories@hypermobility.org)
We can’t wait to hear from you! 😊 Thank to those of you who have already shared your story.
This awareness weekend is funded by the national lottery community fund.

I had the pleasure of using Express Scripts Pharmacy, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The customer service team was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. They answered all my questions with patience and provided helpful guidance on my prescriptions, also find customer service contacts at https://express-scripts.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html . I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order was processed and shipped right to my door. It's such a relief to have a pharmacy that truly cares about its customers. I highly recommend Express Scripts for anyone looking for a hassle-free and delightful pharmacy experience!
TrueFlip’s solana crypto casino section offers something I haven’t found elsewhere: a smooth, lightning-fast gaming environment powered by one of the best blockchains. SOL deposits are instant, and winnings land in my wallet within minutes. The games are entertaining, especially the live casino where everything works flawlessly. What’s more, the site feels professional and trustworthy, with solid customer support and no gimmicks. I’ve had a few big wins already and had no issues withdrawing. For anyone tired of slow Ethereum casinos, this is a breath of fresh air. Solana and TrueFlip are a great combo.
I just booked my Retro Bowl College place for the Hypermobility Awareness Weekend! I am excited to hear from people who truly understand what it's like and to pick up some practical tips.
