An IS accredited guide to help teaching staff support a student affected by symptomatic-hypermobility arising from one of the Heritable Disorders of Connective Tissue (including Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (Joint Hypermobility syndrome, Hypermobility syndrome, BJHS), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (all sub types), Marfan syndrome, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, PXE and Stickler syndrome.
This booklet has been prepared to answer some of the questions most commonly asked by school personnel - covering the symptoms that can be associated with hypermobility syndromes, safety, and adaptations that may be appropriate.
