Lucy Bourne
Trustee
Lucy Bourne has worked as a Physiotherapist for 25 years gaining knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of fields. In recent years Lucy has worked in primary care as a First Contact Physiotherapist where she has become increasingly aware of the varied challenges faced by people with hypermobility.
She has a passion for enabling people to thrive and hopes that her extensive experience in healthcare and the NHS will aid HMSA in the ongoing work of supporting those with hypermobility. Lucy has taught Pilates since 2007, observing the benefits this brings to people’s ‘life fitness.’ Alongside Pilates, Lucy carries a private caseload treating clients in their homes or in clinic.
For 9 years Lucy held a role as a trustee of a children's educational charity, including chairing the charity for 4 years. Lucy has supported the start-up of several social enterprises focused on job creation and training and now helps with a charity aiming to reduce loneliness and inactivity in the local community. Lucy is the mother of three very active girls and enjoys travel, music and spending time with her family and friends.
