Recruiting: The Open Seam

This project from Manchester Metropolitan University focuses on the intersection of Indian artisanal heritage and inclusive design. Specifically, I am investigating how invisible adaptive features such as magnetic closures and modular silhouettes can be integrated into luxury resort wear. My goal is to serve women with physical and sensory requirements (such as joint hypermobility and skin sensitivity) without compromising aesthetic dignity. All participation is voluntary, and data is kept strictly anonymised.

The poster has a clean, minimal design with red headings and black text on a white background. At the top, the heading “Participant Recruitment” appears in red, followed by the study title “Consumer Perceptions of Adaptive Luxury Resort Wear.” A small illustration shows two people seated at a table, one taking notes. Below, sections outline:

The Study: exploring invisible adaptive features like magnetic closures and modular silhouettes in luxury resort wear.

Seeking Participants: women aged 30–60 with mobility, dexterity, or sensory requirements and an interest in premium or artisanal fashion.

What’s Involved: a confidential 20–30 minute Microsoft Teams interview, audio‑recorded for transcription only.
At the bottom, the poster invites interested participants to email aditi.thiruvasakamani@stu.mmu.ac.uk.
