The "Hypermobility and how to manage it" covers day to day living with a hypermobility syndrome.

We recommend this guide for people with symptomatic hypermobility from any cause, whether undiagnosed, or diagnosed with a hypermobility spectrum disorder (joint hypermobility syndrome, hypermobility syndrome, BJHS), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (all subtypes), Marfan syndrome, osteogenesis imperfecta, stickler syndrome or something else.

These conditions can be disabling, and this guide shares information about these conditions and what we know works in terms of management.

It includes a brief overview of hypermobility syndromes and their common symptoms. It focuses on management of the conditions - self management skills, medications, managing 'flare-ups', relationships, stress and anxiety, complications, and a section on making the most of what the NHS can offer. It is a great addition to a self-care toolkit, and a way to help loved ones understand a bit more about the condition.

The guide is produced by the HMSA, and is an updated version of the previous booklet "Living well with a hypermobility syndrome"

An A5, full colour, 48 page booklet.
