Working with a new Trustee Board and a new CEO
Would you like to take a refreshing and challenging role in forming the future of a vital health charity in a rapidly evolving third sector environment?
Up to 20% of the UK population are estimated to be affected by hypermobility. It presents itself in a variety of joint and other physical issues which affect the lives of those who suffer from it from very mild to severely disabling. HMSA is a leading charity that provides medical services and personal support to its members to live well while dealing with the day-to-day effects of it as effectively and efficiently as possible. HMSA is a small charity that also provides education for professionals in social care, health, teaching, and local authority employees.
Working closely with our CEO, the Chair of Trustees will work with existing Board members to:
oversee the creation and delivery of the charity’s strategic objectives
help forge new partnerships
support its fundraising initiatives
provide advice and know-how in their area of expertise.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated people person with experience of chairing a charity’s Trustee Board, together with excellent organisational skills.

The role is remote, and we are open to UK based applications provided the applicant is willing to attend occasional (1-4 times a year) in-person meetings and which are likely to be in England (midlands area, Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Berkshire area or within the M25).
