HMSA Patient Event - HOW TO KEEP ON MOVING - daily rehab advice combining Physio and Clinical Pilates
Free to members - £8 for non-members. This relaxed practical session will be led by both a physio expert in hypermobility and an experienced Pilates instructor who lives with EDS and PoTS. For tips, advice, a practical demonstration and Q&A attend this session to find out more.

About the Event
Nikki Franklin, expert physio, will talk about hypermobility and the impact it can have (on tissues, joints, organs, etc), and the role of physio in managing musculoskeletal issues associated hypermobility. Chloe Bircher, expert patient and Pilates instuctor, will share her personal experience with EDS/physio/Pilates before running a practical session of daily recommended mobility/stability exercises with adaptations that work for everyone. Nikki and Chloe will demonstrate exercises such as:
- Cat/cow - options for sitting and standing as well as floor
- Bird dog - modifications available to suit everyone
- Thoracic rotation - seated/all fours options
- Pelvic tilt - seated/supine options
- Shoulder drops - sitting or standing
This session will be run on Zoom. There will be plenty of time for Q&A with Nikki and Chloe.
