Communicating about hidden disabilities and symptoms (Webinar) April 2021 In this webinar "Communicating about hidden disabilities and symptoms", Hannah Ensor will be exploring effective ways to improve communication with, and help gain understanding from family and loved ones (who we may all be spending a LOT more time with for the immediate future!). This is suitable both for patients and for their family and friends. "I really enjoyed the webinar, Hannah was really good and informative and honest, plus she used her experience well in explaining." It will be approximately 40 minutes of formal presentation (or as formal as Hannah ever gets) followed by 20 minutes for questions and answers. Hannah Ensor (Chair of the HMSA) is an experienced, entertaining, and informative public speaker, and this webinar draws on her experience in living with complex hidden disabilities, working within the hidden disability community for years, and 10 years experience creating communication aids to help overcome some of these disability related communication barriers. "Useful to think about communicating in a different way - keeping things simple - and asking for what I need." Booking for this event has now closed.
