19 - 21 September 2008 HMSA Residential WeekendThis year we will be staying at The Holiday Inn in Coventry, M6 Jct 2, www.holidayinn.co.uk The weekend will commence with dinner on Friday evening. The weekend programme will include talks from Professor Grahame, Professor Bird and Physiotherapist Jane Simmonds. Everyone will have a standard timetable, if you don't want to do attend one of the lectures/classes then feel free to sit it out. You will also have an opportunity to try out and purchase a number of physiotherapy aids and appliances The residential weekend is a great opportunity to meet others with HMS to exchange information and experiences and make new friends. The weekend will conclude after lunch on Sunday. Partners are welcome but please be aware that, where places on practical sessions are limited, priority will be given to individuals with HMS. You are welcome to bring the family, however younger children may find it difficult to sit through lectures and some activities may not be suitable for them so we request if you wish to bring children aged 12 or under that they are accompanied by another adult who can take them sightseeing while you enjoy the lectures etc. We unfortunately, cannot provide supervision for them. The Holiday Inn have given members a special rate in a mixture of single, double and family rooms, the charges are £70 for a double or family room or £60 for a single, including breakfast. Children sharing a room with parents stay free of charge, those in their own room the rate is 50% of the adult rate. Evening meals at the discounted price of £20 per person (lunch is included in the conference costs) Rooms & evening meals need to be booked directly with the Holiday Inn on 0870 4009021 Special diets can be accommodated but must be notified when booking your room with the Holiday Inn. You are of course welcome to just book for the conference and arrange your own accommodation and meals elsewhere The cost of the conference will be £40 per adult, and £25 per child under 14 (excluding accommodation & evening meals which needs to be booked and paid for directly with the Holiday Inn) and includes lunch, tea and coffee, lectures and practical sessions. Although the charge is higher than past years this is still excellent value for money, especially as you are free to use all the Holiday Inn facilities like the pool and health suite. Places are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis, though a number of places have been reserved for those who have not attended a residential event before. A £20 per person deposit is required with the booking form, the remainder to be paid no later than 4 weeks before the event. Click here to download the booking form!
