Previous National Events - details

centreThis year's residential event will be at The Hayes near Alfreton in Derbyshire from Friday 5th August to Sunday 7th August 2005. All meals are included in the price, accommodation is in a mixture of size rooms. If travelling alone you may be asked to share with someone of the same sex. Smoking is permitted in the bar only. The Hayes is set in a 120 acre estate with gardens, lakes and woodlands. Further details at www.cct.org.uk/thehayes.

The weekend will commence with dinner on Friday evening. The weekend programme will include talks from Professor Grahame, Dr Hakim and a podiatary talk by Tony Redmond. The other sessions will include Swiss Ball and Tai Chi classes. Everyone will have a standard timetable. If you don't want to attend one of the lectures / classes, then feel free to sit it out. You will also have an opportunity to try out and purchase a number of physiotherapy aids and appliances.

meetingroomThe residential weekend is a great opportunity to meet others with HMS to exchange information and experiences and make new friends. The weekend will conclude after lunch on Sunday. Partners are welcome but please be aware that, where places on practical sessions are limited, priority will be given to individuals with HMS. You are welcome to bring the family, however younger children may find it difficult to sit through lectures and some activities may not be suitable for them so we request if you wish to bring children aged 12 or under that they are accompanied by another adult who can take them siteseeing while you enjoy the lectures etc. We, unfortunately, cannot provide supervision for them.

bedroomThe cost of the weekend will be £120 per adult and £80 per child under 14 and includes all meals, tea and coffee, accommodation, lectures and practical sessions. There is a limited number of day delegate places - please ring for details. Special diets can be accommodated but must be notified in writing on the booking form. Although the charge is slightly higher than last year this is still excellent value for money. We have a limited number of places at concessionary rates for those on income related benefits - contact us if you need more information. Places are limited and offered on a first come first served basis, though a number of places have been reserved for those who have not attended a residential event before.

A £60 per person deposit is required with the booking form, the remainder to be paid no later than 4 weeks before the event. To print out the booking form please click here. Please return the booking form and cheque to:
