An invitation to influence patient information provision at a national level

Dr Pat Straw, NHS Lothian - University Hospitals Division

Dear Friend

In addition to my work in Lothian, presently I am undertaking work with NES – NHS Education for Scotland, about their online collections of patient and public information.  Your expert views on patient information in general, and on the online information would be invaluable to this national evaluation work.  Closes 6 July 2009.

Please use one or more of three quick and easy ways to feed into this:

  1. For people, with a long term condition or long term conditions, who prefer to reply on a paper document, there's a very short, downloadable in word format , questionnaire, only 9 questions, all with tick boxes.  This will take only a few minutes to fill in.
  2. For people who have access to the internet, please look at any, or all, of the sites listed below and complete the online questionnaires.  They are slightly longer than the paper ones but will only take about 5 minutes each to fill in.  Please note that the ‘enablinghealth’ site is the general site for those with long term conditions but obviously some of the others may also be relevant to you.

The purpose of this work is serious but working through it is also fascinating and fun.

Kind regards

Pat

Dr Pat Straw
