Hi all,
I finally got round to getting myself some better crutches and managed to purchase some metallic blue ones, with grey handles instead of horrible NHS grey!! They are rather 'funky'
Oh yeah!! I think I've seen the ones you mean, mine have the better grip on them as well but are full cuffed (I don't know if me and the partial cuff ones would get on, I have images of falling out of my crutches when I'm propped up against something!!)
Anyone got any tips for jazzing wheelchairs up?! An electric and a manual one (I've got all the cool toys these days!!)
As for the wheelchair, theres a thread somewhere I think its called...A question about wheelchairs and theres some good links and posts about jazzing them up
Sorry, I don't know how to do a link
Kay x
Bend me, shape me, anyway you want me, as long as you love me, its alright

Ooooh aren't we lucky!! I quite like the grey still, the contrast is nice with the blue!!
I was really jealous at my local hospital the kids get purple crutches, that's not fair.
I was talking to someone else about this and they said how much more confident they felt when they had their own more stylish walking stick (I think it was) and they're right. I'm also hoping it'll stop the skiing accident questions if I've got non-NHS ones. (Thanks for the link to the wheelchair stuff)
I can't believe how hard it was to find nice coloured crutches on the net, there's an obvious need for them, but I found it took ages to get anywhere searching for them. (I actually got these from a shop)
I have two very funky walking sticks from Switch Sticks, which someone linked to earlier in this thread - I love them. I am 'graduating' to crutches in an effort to stay on my feet and out of the wheelchair more, though, and haven't been able to find particularly nice crutches for sale. I'd like completely black ones to co-ordinate with all outfits cnc03 and Kayzee, do you remember where you got yours from? They sound lovely!
Yup, mine came from my local mobility shop, but when I broke one (don't ask!!) I got the replacement ones from a place called mobility price watch. I'd send you a link, but I keep getting errors, so that seems rather futile.
I was over at the chronicbabe site and I came across a funky site I forgot about... for cute crutches http://www.lemonaidcrutches.com/ Paisley and animal prints oh my!!!
