All depends on date, but if you're home LB, I'd be able to run you to Birmingham.

I would definately be up to the residential weekend being held at the hotel in conventry. The Academy suite seems to be the perfect space to hold such an event.

I really, really appreciated Nick and her ever patient Husband Si for all the help and assistance they gave me over the weekend of the Dinner Dance - carrying my bags to the room, cutting up my chicken for me ( ), untangling my seqiun top when it kept catching on the velcro of my wrist splint  , getting my mobility scooter in and out of the car etc, but next year I have persuaded my hubby to come with me no matter what.

I must admit that I did find the weekend quite stressful and I had not been in a good position to pace myself before hand as I had lots of hospital appointments and a 3 hour hair appointment in the week leading up to the weekend and the morning of the Dance I woke up to find that the ceiling was starting to cave in in our utility room where the bathroom fitters had not fixed the pipes properly, and there was water dripping through the light fittings  . I ended up having the start of a bad Migraine on Monday morning and broke down in tears in the middle of my accupuncture session as the pain in my neck was so bad  .

Next year I will make sure I take a couple of days of work before and after the event

Hopefully I will get to see a load of my fellow bendy bods again next year ........ :D

I would so love to come to a residential weekend- of course i would have to have the baby and ash with me too (but i have already spoken to nick about that)

The hotel in Coventry was such a lovely place- very relaxed and friendly with plenty of ameneties. I think its a fantastic idea and really hope it goes ahead.

You take care of yourself Sue- thinking of you

Useful tip for anyone who has water coming thru their ceiling - poke a hole in it to let the water escape, it stops the ceiling falling in! (I currently have a hole in my living ceiling because of my leaky roof! Stoopid scottish "summer" weather  ) - Tip supplied by my very useful ex-husband.

Sue, I hope your feeling better

we don't provide childcare at these events, but if there are enough kids coming we could maybe try to organise a couple of kids sessions with physio's etc.
Alot of people have brought the whole family before and sent other half off with the kids for the day-there are plenty of tourist attractions nearby. If not, the children are welcome to attend the sessions-provided you don't think they'd get too bored and disrupt things. I think one year we had a colouring table set up at the back of the hall for them :?

and Sue, you are very welcome hun, it was lovely to have you with us :)
