Black Tie Dinner page 15 on - The Aftermath!

Postby flyingfairy » Thu Feb 01, 2007 2:21 pm

It is official the Black Tie Dinner Tickets go on sale from today!

Date: 11th August 2007
Time: 7pm
Venue Holiday Inn Hotel, Coventry M6 Jct 2
Price: £25 per ticket

The hotel has put together a great rate for accommodation. They are offering £50 double/twin room with breakfast included and are charging £35 for a single room with breakfast.

The hotel is also offering the same rate for the Friday and Sunday night! I am not having anything to do with booking the accommodation so you need to do that directly with the Hotel. You can do that by speaking to Kerry Bailey (Conference Manager) on her email address Bailey.Kerry@ichotelsgroup.com or ring her directly on 0870 400 9021 making it clear that it is the HMSA Dinner you are booking for!

For more information on the hotel it visits its website.

The event will include a 3 course meal plus tea and coffee and a disco I am also trying to get one of the HMSA doctors to do a small light after dinner speech. There will also be a raffle on the night as well.

To book your tickets for the event send me a check made payable to 'HMSA Coventry' with a stamped address envelope so I can send you your tickets and also further information about hotel booking and information on Coventry. I am asking people to include a stamped addressed envelope as I am trying to keep the cost of the event down!

Please also include with your check the full names of the people attending and also the area you are coming from and also any special dietary requirements you might have.

You can contact me on 07791187524 or email me at claireharrison@go.com or 024 76 335662 making it clear that is regarding this event.

Send your checks and envelope to

hiya flyingfairy, i really really want to buy some tickets and book the hotel but hubby is the only one with a check book and he is still in afghanistan till the end of the month, is there any other way i can pay you? do you by any chance has a paypal account that i could send the money to? or maybe if you have anyother ideas? if it would be ok maybe for you to reserve me the tickets until he comes home and can write you a cheque? i know that isnt ideal though so anything else you can think of i will be happy with, but i dont feel very happy sending you money through the post, as it isnt covered by the post office insurance if it is lost etc. hope you can help as it is sounding better and better everytime i read about it!! cant wait now........

Hi flyingfairy

I really want to go to the dinner, but my oldest daughter is having her scoliosis surgey this summer, and until we have a date for that we can't book anything. Is there a cut off date that the tickets have to be bought by?

:bye:

Rosie
Diagnosed HEDS December 1st 2005. DD1 (20) HEDS and scoliosis (now corrected by surgery), diagnosed June 2006. DD2 (18) mild HMS. Son (11) some hypermobile joints, poor muscle strength and seems to be developing scoliosis as well, woopee!

Hi T4Curtis, no there is no other way of sending the money i am afraid not unless you send me the money up but then that is not going to be very safe! But is shouldn't be a problem as the tickets aren't selling that quickly so there should still be places left!

The only other thing i could say is that my dad is coming to plymouth tomorrow for the rugby he could pick the money up from you!I would imagine with the hotel room you could book that with a credit card!If you like the sound of the idea let me know!

Mod comment-could you please PM flying fairy for her mobile number-its not safe to have it on an open forum

Rosie no there is no cut off date as such i will just keep going until all the tickets are sold. If that is this month or if it is the month before then thats when it will happen. I will keep people posted on how well the tickets are doing!

Hiya, I will be wanting tickets too! I'm trying to get my mam to come with me. I can't afford to buy them until my student loan goes in to my account in april though, is that ok?
