I suppose if he didnt say anything then he's not worried about it so thats something...it probably is just that it needs to breathe

Hoe it all gets better for you Hannah and we'll be thinking of you when you have the op..

Hi Hannah, I know when my son broke his wrist it was very flaky and not a good colour when the cast was removed. I believe this was to do with the fact that skin cells have a pretty rapid turnover and with a cast on they can't flake off normally as they do in the bath etc normally. Lack of air would also affect this. If you have thin skin at all which some with hms do - perhaps it would be good to talk to the surgeon about this as it should be taken into consideration when he operates.

I understand about the social aspect and that must be hard - could you have a girly night in at all. So the fun  could come to you. It must be difficult thinking of ways to maintain contact with your friends.

Will be thinking of you on the 8th :birthday:  nonya

Hi all

Am very happy now that i'm getting my cast off at a later date, but starting to wonder if i should have had my cast off before the 12th as you can see by the time of this post,Im not sleeping very well (even with the tablets)Mums very happy that i can spend my 15th birthday doing something i'll enjoy and not spending it up A&E with a dislocated thumb in the splint.I feel very happy the last few days as i feel on the road to recovery even though i havent had my op yet.Hoping i'll keep this happy
