Thank you Jaydee, and hi.
I was expecting some soreness, but what I had that day was total knife-stabbing and debilitating pain. Only over one area - the lower back and hips that have been giving me trouble for years. It took a long time to ease and I didn't get any of the high. Luckily I had arranged some commitment free days so had the time to take it easy. I've since been back and had deeper massage on my upper back problems, which it can tolerate with just a bit of next day light soreness, and a much lighter massage on the lower back which is just too sensitive. I am very lucky that the lovely lady who does the massage is very knowledgeable in a variety of massage therapies (she actually teaches in Brighton) and knows my body and it's tendency to over-reaction, so mostly gets it right.
However, I was dumb yesterday and totally overdid it, so that bus has caught me again today
