hi LB, you are under a lot of pressure at the moment which increases stress hormones, which may be contributing to your skin problem.
I have a few different eczema's according to my dermatologist. I have the purple scarring as you do and yep I believe it is down to our EDS.
Make sure you have removed all perfumed, scented products from your toiletries and household detergents. Which guess you have already done.
My dermatologist also said we have to use so much moisturising cream that our skin will not absorb it all and several times a day. I use E45 cream (not lotion as it isnt heavy enough). Are you using enough cream and do you use diprobase in your bath? look at your diet which I know is a nightmare for you as well.
Then ultimately go back to the G.P. ask for the blood tests to rule out any underlying problem before referring back to your dermatologist. I think it is a combination of things for you but you do need to go to the G.P. to rule out the basics as well. It is very easy to forget that we can develop other conditions as well as the HMS.
Try not to wear man made materials at the moment, stick to cottons where possible and nothing scratchy! and silly as it sounds try relaxation
