Hi every one

Hey everyone,

After suffering many different aches and pains through out my life i finally had enough and went to the doctors, i was 'diagnosed' with HMS (which as i understand is quite lucky to be diagnosed like that straight away- after reading so many 'wrong diagnosis' posts). luckily for my mum that i was diagnosed with it because turns out she has it too and all her doctors could come up with is 'wobbly knees' and 'dodgy hips', she is in physio and getting what she needs. I however have different symptoms i have pins and needles in my back which comes and goes at different times, with no real pattern to it, sometimes its a large area sometimes a small sometimes really intense, and the back pain ive been in after putting something in the washing basket?!? is unreal.
I have looked around the site and searched for things on this matter and not come up with much here but have found it could be a sign of many different things, i think its something to do with the muscles in my shoulders maybe have compressed a nerve? The doc is doing blood test to rule out any thing internal causing the pins and needles, like diabetes, ms, or bob only knows what, they should come back ok so then we move to pain relief (dont particularly want to be on pain meds for life) and physio. we shall see!

Anyway im claire im 27 i have 2 children and a lurcher called dino, im a part time cleaner and my fiance(?) is luke he is an electronics engineer.

Nice to meet you all xx :bye:

Hiya and welcome, most of the answers are here somewhere but there will be times when you cant find an answer using the search facility so please ask and I am sure a mod will point you in the right direction if necessary or run it as a new thread if the problem has not come up before.
As smol says we are a really friendly and supportive bunch of bendies and will always try our best to answer any questions you have or just give reassurance or a listening ear.
best wishes

Hi!
thanks all for replying and making me feel welcome!
It is great having a lurcher, they are lazy yet for every mile i walk he probably runs 10! we live in a block of flats too not great for having him in here but i take him out 3 times a day and luke takes him out in the evening while im at work and i walk another dog during the day too for a neighbour, ill carry on for as long as my aching muscles and bones let me!! salukixgreyhounds are beautiful creatures!! Dino is quite a mix, his mum in a greyhoundxwhippetxcollie and his dad is a greyhoundxdeerhoundxbedlingtonterrier I really dont have a clue how but thats his mix lol! ill put a pic up when i figure this forum out properly!

I have been searching the net for pins and needles in the back, but nothing really comes up apart from in hands or feet, i did how ever find out its also known as back paresthesia, blood tests on monday so hopefully get some more answers.
At the moment i would like to have at least one day when im not in pain, co-codamol makes me itch and makes me a bit woozey not good for the day time when i have so much to do, but hey ho have to get on with it!

thanks again for replying and i dont know why the post is called E i cant have done that bit properly! [Modnote: E*dited for glitch* You can change this yourself if you edit the post. :).]
