Hi All,

I havent been here for a while, mainly as I felt so bad fighting the same 5llbs since October..on and off fro three months. SO I am back now on a mission as I would like to be 2 stone lighter by the RW. That is my aim..whether I achieve it who knows.'

Thank you Dee. Has your brother been sabatoging you (excuse sp)? My hubby is a nightmare, every weekend he wonders in with crisps, french bread, chocolate and I beg him not to. The last weekend my will power was good but I am in fear of weekends on the wholew!

Weight and HMS

Postby Lauren » Wed Feb 22, 2012 2:57 pm

Usually when I try to lose weight I go on the treadmill and cut down on junk, but my Physio has told me its not good idea to run on the treadmill anymore. I still have some excess flab from Christmas and I really want to get rid of it.

I daren't even look at the scales to find out how much I weigh. I've really got to try harder or I'm going to end up putting on more weight.

Okay, I feel like posting something here will make me more commited to losing weight. :whip:

I need to stop eating so much junk and do some walking on the treadmill since I've now been forbidden from running on it.

I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning. I've been too scared to do it before now, but it might motivate me.

I bought two gorgeous dresses this weekend and one of them is a bit tight at the moment but I want to be able to not have to suck my tummy in by the time I go out in it!

I know that I've gained a bit of weight since I've been coming to Stanmore, all those motorway dinners at the weekends  Will weigh myself once I get back and then work on losing it again

13st 6lbs not as bad as I thought it was going to be! Now I just need to work on getting it back down again before my appointment at Charing Cross gender clinic. If I can get it below 13st I will be happy. That's not until the 26th March so I have a month to do it in :D

Thanks Donna :) My motivation has been out of the window the last few weeks, especially since I've been home from Stanmore. Trying to pull it back together, the days start off ok but end awfully.

Donna, you looked amazing on saturday! I really can't believe how much weight you have lost from the first time I met you! I'm pretty sure you'll absolutely be able to keep it up! You've done fantastic so far.

Hi Lauren

Have you considered switching from a threadmill to an exercise bike? That way you'd still be doing cardio, but putting far less pressure on your joints and being in less of a risk of injury from the high impact of running?

I found cycling has also been really good for my knee pains, as the muscles supporting the knees have got stronger. I also do pilates, which is so great for my overall pain levels and fitness, and zumba (although I can't do all moves and I have to do everything within the limits of "normal" movement, rather than my wider range, but that just makes me work harder so it's fine).

I've cut down on a lot of junk food as well as doing more exercise and have definitely lost weight. But I don't quite dare to get on the scales to see how much is gone, mainly because I worry that despite my clothers having got a bit too big for me the scales won't show any change. Silly really, but there we are.

I've lost 1st 11pm so far. What I've found has refocused me the last few weeks, is writing down everything that I eat. I do slimming world and noticed I was well over my 15syns a day.
