It's nice to see some positives on here, which is so overlooked sometimes. My best friend who is my age and has MS herself is an absolute star . She is always there for me above and beyond , no matter what time day or night and will always send me positive messages and positive support . :)

Lots of people to add to this list today!!!

- My leisure centre - the GP referral team I work with and do all my physio with are great with me and work at my own place, relocating joints where needed
- the osteopath who works there also - I go in with my spine, ribs and neck out and he sneaks me in and fixes me within 10 minutes
- the hairdressers there - If I am unable to wash my hair due to my arms, she will fit me in and give me a quick hairwash for free.

- My neighbour and also a fellow brownie leader who dropped everything the other day and took me to A&E to get my shoulder fixed

- My physio who although is private I am happy to see and always puts me back together and gives me exercises. She also calls to check if I'm getting on ok

- My GP who does her best to help even if she doesn't know what to do
"Just when I got my head together, my body fell apart".
"I think I have a problem with my joints..."
The heaviest thing I can carry is a grudge.

My wonderful, wonderful fiance has been an absolute saint lately, he's put up with my insecurities, my constant moodiness and my random tearful days. He's let me rant on and helped me keep on top of my chores when I'm struggling through a flare up that's lasted about 4 months and still going strong. Normally I manage to keep my moods away from him, but this time it's all been too much and I'm not proud to say I've been a bit of a brat to him lately so I'm really grateful to him for letting me get away with it (without letting me be a total cow by making sure I acknowledge that I am being a brat). He's a good 'un :)

I have to recommend this little product:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zippo-Handwarme ... roduct_top

it's really cheap on Amazon at the minute - you fill it with lighter fluid (cheap stuff will do), set it "alight" and it "burns" for (it says) up to 12 hours...in reality, I lit mine for the first time at midnight and it's still flaming hot at 4pm so 16 hours and still going!

It's fab, you don't need to boil it to reset it like some hand warmers, no need for microwaving or anything else - just some lighter fluid and a lighter. It's a bit of a faff to get going and do keep a towel near by in case it sets on fire when lighting (you should wait a while for any fluid on the burner to evaporate after filling to avoid this) but it is fabulous and really lasts a good while.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

I have been having a bit of trouble tying my shoes, as such i guess it is not so much the tying of the shoes sometimes as much as it is the kneeling and fiddlyness about it. but anyway i have ordered lace locks, which i hope will enable my laces to not come undone and still be the right amount tight. :)

My wonderful support worker Maria, she came and picked me up from the doctors even though I wasn't due to see her today. She was on her way home and she dropped everything and came to get me. Thank goodness otherwise I would have been stuck at the doctors.

My boyfriend for being absolutely amazing about everything. Putting up with me on my bad days and trying everything in his power to cheer me up and make me smile (which he normally succeeds in doing). For the little things, like taking my shoes off when I can't and carrying me to bed when I'm too exhausted and in pain to walk there myself. For staying in with me when I can't go out. For batting off people's insensitive comments (like the time I couldn't walk down the stairs in a museum and someone was moaning about the fact that I look fine and don't need to take the lift, making people with prams wait longer after us.)
I really do not know what I would do without him.

I have the most amazingly wonderful family & friends
My husband who is always there for me, does most of the housework, helps me do stuff when I need it and all this ontop of leaving for work 7am mon-fri often getting home as late as 8pm.
My son (20) who cooks for me when he is home from uni and keeps me ( & my wheatbags )company in the wee small hours when i can't sleep so that Dad gets a good night & rings me often from uni for a chat.
My sister who often agrees to take me & my lovely Mum out for girly days - me either struggling with my stick or in the wheelchair & Mum who is virtually blind and needs guiding - she never complains and we have a laugh but I'm sure she needs a G&T or 2 when she gets home
My Aunt and Uncle who are always "open" for coffee and choccie biccies with a free shoulder thrown in!
My Father-in-law, who has dementia , is always insisting that I do too much and makes me sit and rest and buys me chocolate flakes everytime I visit him.

My amazing friends who take me out, help with housework and are just there whenever I need them.

Writing this has made me realise how lucky I am and that just maybe if I didn't have HMS I wouldn't have known just how wonderful they all are !!!!????
