I'm into cross stitch but im wondering if it's aggravating my loose shoulders?
i do it for the lower blood pressure and relaxing effect.

Hi

I like doing cross stitch as well, and I think it helps to strengthen my hands and wrists. To stop it aggravating my shoulders I make sure that my lower arms are supported when I am sweing, like resting my elbow on the chair arm, and this seems to be enough to help.

Hya

You can post photos on here if they are small enough.
the best option is to upload your photos to somewhere like photobucket, and then post the links on here, the size won't matter then. You can organise your photos into albums and use a password if you want to control who can see them :D

I've used it and thought I would share as us bendys use crafting as an escape and living is expensive enough.
Company is Hope Education

Its no scam they have the beads that I used for the HMSA braclets.

Got 2 stitching kits for Xmas this year. They were small which was great because i asked for cards
so although it wasn't cards they were still small projects i can get done in a month. Got loads of larger
projects that havent been started probably due to their size.

Hi :bye:

I used to play the clarinet at school but struggle playing it nowadays.

I do make cards for family and friends and I also scrapbook. I am busy doing an album of our special holiday in China in 2009. I have a cricut machine that cuts letters and shapes so I don't have to use the scissors too much as that really hurts my thumbs. It's really good as I buy the cartridges I want and get it all cut for me. 8)

I have been doing cross stitch since I was 8 years old. I also do it to relax, but find my hands get sore. I have bought some hand ease gloves which help me ( I even wear them to work at times to use the PC) but I am slower than I used to be. I had two Carpal Tunnel releases so that now affects them too.

I post pics to facebook, hopefully this link works.

Great to find so many other crafters on here!

hiya,
i crocheted a blanket for a pals new born baby. i made it mostly out of old fluffy yarn as i was too skint to buy yarn.... but it turned out ok! tempted to make myself one now!

her baby girl was born a few weeks ago and is called Sheridan. mummy and baby are doing fab

its my first blanket and my hands were really playing up so its not perfect but it was made with much love and care, and it was really warm when i tested it so it should come in handy when they take Sheridan out for a walk in her buggy, and i made it bigger than a standard baby blanket so it'll double as a toddler nap blanket for when she's a little older. :)

i'm quite proud of my blanket!
