I'm not sure I'm putting this post in the right place - so mods please move it if I haven't.
I saw the orthopedic surgeon last night and he had some 'interesting' things to say about my wrists. Like many of you they are a constant source of pain. Ow.
Anyway he said that in addition to the ligaments being on their way out (on of them dislocated when he fiddled with them ...) the ulnar bone in both wrists has overgrown and the cartilage in both has torn. He suggested the following:
1. Take out the torn cartilage
2. Shaving the ulnar bones to make them a 'normal' length and reduce some of the pressure in the wrists.
I'm not keen on the idea of ops but am keen to do anything to get rid of at least some of the pain.
Has anyone else had something similar done? I'd be interested to know if it made a difference and how long recovery took.
Confused.
