I'm here to say hi again and i intend on being a regular member this time. I have to be honest that I am probably not what you would call as someone who suffers greatly with HMS in comparison to some members on here. Although i have some aches and pains and the odd flare up, I go about daily life with few problems, and I have to be honest that the last time I was here I was rather freaked out by how bad HMS can get.
Despite that, I feel that i need to educate myself in order to help myself as much as possible. I regularly see an NHS physio and a private osteopath, as well as currently going to hydrotherapy sesions. But despite this, I dont feel they've told me much about what to expect with this condition.
The last time I posted, my main concern was my flat feet but now that is pretty much the last thing I'm interested in. Since my appointments began with my physio the health of my muscles and joints have been pretty good. He has given me exercises for different things and in the last year, the most i suffered was with the odd aches and pains here and there, which we are still working on. But last week I had my second "flare up" as my physio called it, where my back went into spasm because (my osteopath tells me) my hips, sacroiliac joint and hips were all out of alignment. This (the joints being out) is quite common for me and so far, this appears to be as extreme as my HMS gets.
I am 32 and I want to get pregnant in the next twelve months. With my hips being quite a problem for me, I am anxious as to how my body will take it. Plus, generally I am a bit scared of what my future might bring.
