He is cute My sister used to keep rabbits, she had a series of very cute lop-eared ones. They didn't come in and steal our houmous though!

Oh yeah!!! Frank is a rex. Solid muscle and fat store!!! Crinkly chin and chunky knees. All the better to cuddle!! Ha ha!!! I guess he needs garlic??

I love rabbits! Your one is so cute - he looks just like one of the ones I had as a kid - one rabbit lived to 16, and the other 18! They stayed in a hutch outside during the week but on the weekends we'd let them out and they'd wander all over the hill having 'fun' with all the girl bunnies! When it was dusk we'd go up to the hill and call their names then they'd come running down but would stop once they saw me and would expect to be carried the rest of the way home The inevitable mommy bunnies would then come and give birth in our garden and we'd have baby bunnies hopping around our house until they were grown up then they'd move to the hill with the rest of the wild ones. To this day, you can still see wild black or white and black rabbits running free!

I just got a new pet! He's called Pebbles and he's an 8 year old Leopard Gecko. Because I have allergies to most pets we had to get one that wasn't going to cause any health problems and was going to be easy to care for since many days I can't do too much. My son has a classroom gecko and we had him home over Xmas and realised how cute the geckos are and how they have a surprising amount of personality. We got him because my son's school principal wanted to get rid of their one. They only eat every few days (live crickets), only require minor cleaning of their cage, and when you take them out to handle them, they either just sit there quietly or crawl slowly over you so I can easily handle him. It's nice to have company in the house with me too, even though he sleeps all day hidden away and only comes out when the kids are home (even though he's still nervous around them).

I never thought I'd have a lizard for a pet but living 1km from a reptile zoo has kind of got me used to them now!

Awwwwwwww words escape me!!! Rabbit heaven!!! Next time you see them give them my address!! I used to work in a pet shop with reptiles. Gecko's are my fave but the fish got there first. I had a passion for angels for years and they got the best of me. Still love them. Little b****r. Look so sweet but have their aggressive side as well. I have one large angel left at the moment and can't get any more til he has gone or chaos will reign!

I've never had fish or reptiles as pets but our nephew has piranhas just now. Obviously he can't have anything else unless he starts a new tank. Boys!

Yeah you are right!!! Boys and toys!!! I have silver dollars which look just like piranhas but are totally opposite in temperament. The lid on the tank has to be weighted because they freak out so much. I have to move slowly around them and when it comes to water change!!!!!!! They mix very well with angels. I call them my Mick Jaggers!! Big fat lips! Ha ha. If you want to know the names of my other fish I could only pm you!! I do have one called grandaddy. Love him to bits. I never have to clean my tank cos he just loves algae!! xxxxx

Awwwww my little rabbit!! He has burnt his nose on houmous!! Little white patch! He has spent this week under my dressing gown keeping his ears warm!! Pure love!!!!

Aww bless gorgeous bunny we have a castor rex rescue rabbit and 2 harlequin rabbits 1 was a rescue he is 6 years old.

8 year old leopard gecko congrats on the new addition 8 years old is very good.

Anyone need to know hamsters, mice, rats just ask I have quite a few of them lol.

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would tell you about my puppy. he is a Tibetan Terrier and he should have a long black glossy coat!
As he was a bit muddy I bathed and blow dried him on Wednesday, and then did the other two dogs as well and completely wore myself out in doing so, but they did look beautiful until today.
I took them out across the fields and Troy decided to run into a huge lake of gloopy mud and then lie down in it, I eventually caught him and returned home and shut him in the garden thinking the mud would dry and then I could brush it off (How wrong I was!)
Ten minutes later as I was drinking a cup of coffee, I looked out the window as he was suspiciously quiet to find him with his head and front legs inside the chimenea frantically digging all the ash out.

The ash stuck to the mud and was setting like concrete and he had very stiff, crunchy front legs. Surprise, surprize. I had to bath him again. I am still trying to get the bath clean, but Troy is fine and can now bend his front legs again!
I dread to think what his next escapade will be.

i'm thinking of getting pet insurance for my lurcher poppy but i've never insured a pte before and when i googled pet insurance i came up with millions so if any of you could recommend which to go with i'd greatly appreciate some help

i finally convinced my mum to give merlin the labrador pup with a wonky leg a bath today. my dogs are both in season and seen as theirs a few sheepdogs wander about the village and i wouldnt be able to fight them off i cant take them out for walks so have no dog to go out with me with the power chair. so mum suggested i take merlin and i said i would but not until he'd had a bath cos he stank. so after his bath i took him out with the powerchair for the first time. he thought it was a bit scary and mum had to go with me and just walk him near me gradually getting him closer to the chair until he's got used to it enough to be fastened to the chair. he dd really well considering he's almost a year old and has been for a walk only a handful of times or less and has never walked with the powerchair before. it was a good thing it was him i had out and not one of mine. we were stopped talking to someone and merlin suddenly went round the back of the power chair, when i looked to see what he was doing their was a cat stood right in front of him, they were actually touching noses! if its a nice day on saturday i'll take him out again. i cant get him out the kennel myself because he gets too excited and jumps up and i have enough trouble staying on my feet without a big fat labrador leaping at me so have to wait til a day when my mum isnt at work

I have a dog called Merlin, he is a border collie. Fortunately the guy next door has taken to walking him next dorr but boy, does he come back in a state, he obviously has a great time. i used to walk him with the powerchair, must get back to that some time.

If you want to get pet insurance make sure you read the small print very carefully, the cheapest options frequently have so many exclusions that they are not worth the money. Often they will only pay for treatment for 12 months and then exclude that condition for life! My Vizsla developed epilepsy when she was 2 years old and I was unable to claim for her treatment after 12 months, She lived until she was 14 and her medication cost £35 a month, I dread to think how much she cost us in vets fees but the insurance was worthless, I just put £50 a month into a separate account which just about covered everything.

I am looking for insurance for Troy at the moment and will certainly read the small print this time, if i find a good deal I will let you know .

we also had a vizla called bran many years ago that was fine until he was a couple of years old but then got epilepsy. one of my first memories is of telling my dad to stop the car because the dog was having a fit, it would about scare me to death if one of my dogs had a fit now but i just calmly told my dad and helped him with the dog back then, i guess i were just used to seeing that dog have fits and my dad had told me what to do even though i couldnt have been older than 5 at the time.
the labrador pup merlin has been for a 2nd walk with the power chair and he did really well, wasnt scared at all
my lurcher poppy keeps trying to play with bees! she thinks anything that moves wants to play with her, well anything except sheep, shes scared of them although she does want to play with lambs, i dont think she quite understands that lambs are just baby sheep. we have a very low wall that even my terrier can jump over so its very easy for poppy dog to get out the front if she wants to but she keeps just going and putting her front paws on the wall and just standing there looking over the wall because theirs a lamb thats taken to laying right up against the wall, its her new friend
