kirby!!! making life easier

Postby l00pyp0u » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:02 pm

seriously it's worth it!!!!!!! It's a life saver, no effort to it at all, and if you do decide to get one, tell them you're disabled, and get them to give you the 16ft hose, so you can do all the stairs in one go

Best thing to do is ask around and see if any relatives have one they don't want, as they are VVVVVeeerrrrrryy expensive, but you can part ex an oldone for the new, and get great reductions on it. They also do it on finance so you don't have to have all the cash up front. I pay £40 a month, which includes a service call out, at least once a year for each machine. every yr they phone up and say, okay can we come round on weds? doesn't cost anything extra if it breaks down either, phone them up and get them to come and fix it.

I used to go through hoovers like no ones business, 2 or 3 a year, with my dogs, and kids.
The one upstairs is 6 yrs old, and still going, and they polish them up for me ebvery year as well :D

sorry who are these people who polish vacuums?! I need a Kirby immediately.

Honestly that would make a big difference to me. Do these things do cars
too?

The inside of the car is the worst! I just use brush and pan these days.

Today I just swept floors as I left vacuum upstairs few days ago and
didn't want to risk bringing it down.

I must seriously look into these kirbys but it would definitely go onto
wish list at the moment but one can dream.

kirby's making life easier!

Look I know we've gone off topic here, and I'll probably get told off again :D

Kirby are based in Liverpool, but have offices all over, the machine at the moment, the newest one is, the sentria, and you can do so much with these, and they dont weigh too much eother, so theyre not to bad. they break down to a hand held unit for cleaning beds etc, and they allso blow inflatables up for you. so yes it does the car!
Here's the link for the uk:http://www.kirby.com/Portals/UK/units.html
WARNING: they only do home visits, there isn't a shop you go to to buy them, and they do come with a bit of "hard Sell".
DO NOT CALL THEM unless you are seripously cinsidering it!!!
They are expensive, but you do get deals from them, as part of their sell. the newest one i am paying £1100 for, so I do mean expensive. but that's with a part ex included
I got my first one in 1990, and haven't looked back since, I just upgrade every 7 or 8 yrs, and part ex my old one back in to them, though they let you keep it. This year I finnally managed to persuade them to take the original away  that one was too heavy for me to use, but the sentria is really light, and a dream to use.
DO ask around and see if anyone has an old Heritage or you may be lucky and some one will give you an Ultimate, if you get an ultimate, then dont think too much about part exing it, unless your shoulders sublux, as there not much difference in weight, but the drive on the sentria is better. just call them up and go on the service plan,@£5 a month, I am on another deal for that.

You also get as basic, a rotating brush for the tube, whic is really powerfull like a tornado, and the carpet cleaner, and a thing to do paint spraying with, but I have never used that. and loads of other attachments, half of which I never use. Including one for wood floors.

Extra, but worthit, is the massage unit, which also doubles as a sander.

JUST BE AWARE OF THE EXPENSE OF THIS PLEASE. DO NOT CALL FOR A HOME VISIT, UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS AS THEY DO HARD SELL
Hope that helps

I know, tell me about it, but if you offered me 1100 for it I'd give it to you then go and get another one from Kirby. Will not be without!!!!
It's a good idea for those with sublux shoulders, as its powered, drives itself across the front room, I just have to point it in the right direction :D
