When they say indefinatly, is that literally forever? I had to renew mine by sending off a nnew form and i had only been receiving less that a year?

Hi Ellis! I guess "indefinitely" means for ever, as long as care needs and mobility issues don't change... :pray:

Good for you Tabi :) that should help you get whatever supports etc you need :) and even a funky wheelchair if you need it :wink2:

Indefinely means what it says, something unusual for government!!!

I checked mine and it says until either you say it has changed or they do have the right to check every few years but in essence - life.

There is also one other big advantage - if you are on ths level it means you get the benefit after 65 wheras for most people it is replaced by lesser benefits after that.

In November, I sent of my application to renew my DLA.
I got a letter yesterday...
I have been awarded higher mobility and middle care.
I was dreading that they would say no... but I'm so happy :D

Well I was orginally awarded dla for 2 years, it's just come up for renewal so filled in all the forms, they wrote to my consultant and gp. It's come back and been reawarded but for 2 years again.

Thankyou Mandy :D I'm soooooo pleased, no more agony in the car either coz its been awarded til late 2010 so im eligible for motability! whoop whoop! Anyone that hasnt cracked it yet, keep going guys! it's worth it, far better than 40mg of amatriptaline any day of the week, its such a weight off my mind!
