I'm still not feeling much better although I bought some new knee supporting stuff today (couldn't find the old one) and it seems to have helped a lot. I also had a nice soak in the bath. That helped at the time but but my hips started aching again not long after. I just can't seem to get comfortable.

This is going to sound weird but my hip has been really bad for a few days now but, ever the glutton for punishment, i went on the Wii Fit and did some hula-hooping. Lo and behold, my hip actually feels substantially better, more like the every day pain that i have with it.

Maybe i should mention this to the physio, it certainly hurt less than walking up and down the hydrotherapy pool with flippers on

Mine's caused by my neck. It was clearer in the bad old days when my neck went clunk suddenly, eg putting my shoes on to go for a walk, and I'd lie down and sleep for 4 hours. Now things aren't so bad, but if I feel tired/hit by a bus then it's because one of my neck muscles has seized up and stretching it brings relief. What am I going to feel like next Tuesday when I have my poor neck joints/muscles denerved, prolotherapied and botoxed? Something to look forward to? - oh no!

i have the 'hit by a bus' feeling today so took a day off work to rest, hope that it should disappear quickly as im resting today. i normally just carry on regardless and so feel rubbish for days and days!

its probably my fault. went go karting on thurs evening and had a big accident- i was blocking this huuge big guy from overtaking me the whole way round the course (hehehe! go me!) so he just smacked into me, knocking my kart under the barriers. so a bit whiplashy! (is that a word?). then bendy meet on sat and little dylan came to visit with his mum on sunday so we spent a lot of time in the park etc. i also sang as mass) non stop weekend! also slipped a rib out in tesco on fri evening so the singing was challenging as it was rather hard to take a deep breath due to the spasm etc.

ah well, boss was completely fine with me resting today so i'm gonna make the most of it!

I normally feel like that if i dont get enough sleep (i need about 8 to 10 hrs a night, like a pre-schooler LOL).

During the day, i'll try to move around a lot, as i find that as soon as I sit down I'll.... err.... ZZzzzZZZzzzzZZZ like a baby again. My peak efficiency is between 7am to 12 pm. Then between 12 to 4 ish is a low ebb (if i can have a kip during my lunch break that helps a lot), my energy peaks up again for a couple of hours when the sun goes down (my boss used to call me a vampire until i pointed out im hyper in the early morning as well).

If i've been to the gym, Im fine after the session, the day after... but boy I am steam rolled the 2nd day, sometimes i cant even wake up with 3 alarm clock screaming in my ears.

I'm keeping a chart of my activities and how fatigue hits me... and so far I can see it takes a day or two after an intense burst to make me feel really BLEH. On days that I know i need to work intensively (Im working 2 jobs to pay for my university fees) I make sure I get at least 9 or 10 hours sleep before hand, and 9 to 10 hours a night the two days after the heavy activities. So far the trick is working.

The only down side is my rest days (weekends) are the days where most of my friends wants to get me to get out and do fun stuff with them and I'll have to refuse them many many times as i need the beauty sleep LOL.

Right now i'm just sitting on my bed, having a cup of tea while going through this forum with my little kitty purring on my lap. Thinking of having another 2 hour nap before i meet some friends for dinner today. Had some co-codamol earlier because my hands are a bit buggy this week.... oddly enough codeine makes me hallucinate slightly lol. Pardon the swear word in the following image... but it illustrates me perfectly for the moment

good grief, here comes the jackboots.

How about this one then?

hello i wasn't sure where to put this. when i saw " hit by a bus" i knew that was me. I feel constantly tired, out of energy and generally yuk! i do have insomnia & broken sleep, and i cant get focused in the mornings because i feel like i havent had any sleep. Occaisionally i do get a few hours sleep but i still feel tired. Now ive learnt fatigue is part of hms does anyone no how i can boost my energy or feel less tired?? Im getting desperate, im waiting to see wether my doctor will give me any sleeping tablets. The doctor at the hospital who suggested the tablets has written to my g.p but we all know how long you have to wait! Any tips appreciated thanks j x
