Yes...my weight has always been an issue.
I was and average size for most of my early childhood, at around 10 I hit puberty and my weight rocketed. No change in diet, exercise etc.
At about 15ish I wasn't eating the best diet, complete chocoholic and lived on chocolate, peanut butter sandwiches and crisps. this was after years of consciously eating really well and not haivng any noticable weight loss. I dropped down to 9.5 stone and was fairly skiny, it wasn't a gradual weight loss either...seemed to go in about 3 weeks but I had such a saggy belly (a bit like the baby pouch, which has just gotten bigger over the years). I thenh went on the pill and had a gradual weight gain over about 1.5 years to 11 stone, which I stayed at for quite a few years. I was really out of proportion though, was a size 8-10 round the waist, a 12round the hips and a 14-16 round the chest.
ThenI fell pregnant at 20, lost 3 stone in the first 4 months and then put on 5 stone after (14 stone). managed to lose1 stone over the next 3 yearss til I fellpregnant again and had the same lost 3 then out on 5...that was me up to 15 stone and a size 18. I've trieda few different diets and never lost more than about 8lbs. 33 now and REALLY struggling with weightloss after the birth of my 3rd child. I was refered to dietician during this pregnancy and kept my weight fairly stable, only put on a stone and was 2 stone down after the birth (15 stone) but it's gradually crept back up again depite reducing calories. I'm on 1450 calories a day which should be enough to lose1lba week...that's what I'm losing in a month though.
wonder if HMS has an effect on metabolism and because hormone changes can effect HMS that's why all the weight problems have been when there has been something in my life to change my hormone levels? Puberty, going on the pill, being pregnant?
