Does anyone know if there is wi-fi in the hotel. May need to do some work when she is asleep and would really need internet access..
Can't believe we are finally going on Monday

Hi,

I asked about Internet connection whilst there and there isn't one in the hotel but there is a couple of computers that are connected to the internet in the main cantine in the hospital (they are in the back left corner).

Listen barkingmad, whilst you are really important to us all, when you're at GOSH please don't underestimate the impact it will have on you both, with fatigue, emotions etc.... by all means learn more so you can educate and advise us from first hand experience; but I don't want you to burn out cos you can work there in between physio sessions. You may be supermum in my eyes but hate to break it to you, you're not superwoman....besides if you go by other parents experiences, you'll be doing more networking and socialising whilst little one is in physio.

Love you honest, just don't want you to over do it, you have this squitty disorder too remember

(I can feel the bashing coming from here :duh: )

Defo no wi-fi there at the hospital or at Weston House - Patient hotel :( but there are a few coffee shops etc in the area which offer free wi-fi

There most definitely IS WIFI in weston house and at the hospital. Bring your devise, go to reception at Weston House, ask for a user name and password and they will print it out for you and give it to you. This WIFI works in all hospital buildings.

They have 3 different WIFI levels depending on the age of the child/adult, so you can have an adult one for your devise and a child one of their devise so that they can only access appropriate content.

If you don't have a devise you can go to the cafe in the main hospital. This is called The Lagoon. There are 4 terminals at the door of the cafe and you can access the internet directly without a password. Loads of the mums and dads are working when the children are having their treatment.

Glad to hear that wi-fi is now available. It definitely wasn't there when I stayed with my son 4 years ago and I remember one parent having real problems as he needed to work online. This is a great improvement.

Yep its only been there for 18 months.
I will write an up to date guide once we are done for others who are going.
I found the guides that others had written very helpful.
