finally a result????

After a diagnosis with rhuemy of hypermobility and then a physio appointment that said no, i have finally had a second oppinion with another rhuemy.

He says definitly hypermobility (my knees have deteriated so badly so quickly that they subflex when i cross my legs on the sofa!) He reckons that it is the cause of the pain in my knees, hips, wrists and hands. Gonna go back through NHS physio asap (hopefully not a 10 month wait) But at least I (hopefully) think I know wats wrong. I didnt even mention the hypermobility diagnosis and had asked gp to just refer me cos of pain. So, just glad.

Hips are still giving me pain with spasms and had a very bad week with hands. Couldnt undo bra. Hubby goes away next week. Hope I am ok, or might get friendly with the neighbours!!!!

Hi Gemma,
Its good that you finally have a diagnosis, how are you feeling about it?
I know what you mean about physios, i have had some bad experiences with them over the years! Here in manchester, it takes around 6 weeks to be referred.
I am having similar probs to you, my hip. Mine spasms, and is always subluxing.
Hope you feel better soon

maybe buy yourself some of those tops that have the built in bra lining? mine are a godsend when i cant make my fingers work a normal bra! :D . i have a vesty top that is a dark red/orangy colour that looks really smart under my white blouse for work! everyone commented on how nice i looked.

those little crop top bras are great too- i got one made by sloggi that is dead stretchy so its easy to get on.

and congrats for finally getting the hms diagnosis (for the second time! )
