I've been feeling poorly since I had my flu jab on Saturday, so rather than sit around feeling sorry for myself, yesterday I decided to take advantage of having a not-so-bad-hands day, and I made my chilly lurcher puppy a jumper!

I haven't used my sewing machine in years, since my hands got too painful to do cutting and pinning, but with some help from my OH, I managed to botch together a basic pattern, found an old "doggified" piece of fleece in the car, then put it straight on the machine. It took most of the day, and I was so distracted by feeling queasy that I did loads of stupid things, like sewing the sleeve into the neck

and then sewing the neck on inside out, which led to much unpicking, but I was just so proud that I managed to finish it. My hands are suffering a bit today but it was such a relief to actually be able to do something creative.
