My hands are only steady if I take the meds and work in short bursts. ;)

The white flower is a daffodil variety named 'Milly's Magic' which was named after the person for whom they were made (they're a 60th birthday gift). See my Facebook album 'Blaadycrafts' for more images, I recorded the whole process. The arranged fee for this pair was a crate of beer.

Gorgeous glasses :D

My current crafty project is OH's valentine's card. I didn't feel well enough to do a lot of drawing, so I found a tribal heart picture, which is all in white and red, and cut it out, then layered it on squares of pastle pink and blue paper. I've just finished drawing out the word "Valentine" in a "gothic" style font by hand, and I'm going to shade it in with a black pen, and then layer that over blue and pink as well. I'm going to be using black card for the background, and use only these two items on the front. Inside, I'm going to line the card with blue and pink, and stick in a collage of photographs of us over the last year. Do you think he will know it's from me? :shh:
I'll try to get a photo of it, once it's all finished.

I do enjoy making them when I can. I did some at christmas and easter for my mum and they all seemed really pleased with them. I have some to do this christmas if I can and am hoping I can do one for my dads birthday next month too.

Ooh, Sarahh, they''re really nice :)

I especially like the top and bottom ones.

I envy people who are good at cardmaking - mine never work out!
Twice as much ain't twice as good,
And it can't sustain like one half could,
It's wanting more that's going to send me to my knees.

They are lovely Sarah. We are having a big challenge weekend on the craft/card forum I belong too so I've made quite a few this weekend too :) Its a very relaxing hobby-until you realise you need a card for someone's birthday tomorrow and have no ideas!!

I love the card. I have just finished a tapestry chess board and would love to put a picture up but I am not sure how. I hope the bitton I pressed did the job.

Hi All thank you very much for your lovely replies. Aww Chloe I thought I wouldn't be able to do it either but I started with a card making kit from wilko's at £1-2 each and it went from there. There are still things I can't do that I really want to do I see other people's cards and think I wish I could do that. Hi Nickb aww good luck on the challenge, I know what you mean you realise you need a card asap and no idea's, its like steam train card stuff it is hard to get hold of I had to trawl the internet looking for steam train card stuff eventually I found stuff and for a good price too. Englishgremlin well done you on the tapestry that must have taken you ages, Mmm not sure about pictures maybe a transfer one?

Sorry about my last post, I tried typing and I realised it made very little sense!

It was the first time I've put a photograph up on the message boards and I was not sure if I had picked the right buttons to make it work. Another achievement for me it has done :D

wow that chess board must have taken alot of patience-looks great, are you using it now? Hubby found my dads old chest set in the loft last weekend and I keep badgering him to re-teach me but I'm not sure I'd be too good.

I'm off work today and finally managed to make a couple of birthday cards-I have a list of about 8 more for this month though  This is one of them

Now does anyone have ideas on how to remove solvent ink(from a stamping inkpad) from my fingers before hubby takes me out for dinner tonight?
