Lutonian in the news

Postby Stone » Fri Feb 19, 2010 8:25 pm

Our local paper had a girl described as having 'hyperlaxity' in it today. Unfortunately she was in it because our local NHS hospital botched her foot operation and now she needs custom shoes

Luton Herald and Post wrote:Sixth form student Caroline, who lives in Caddington, ended up with a bunion because she has a condition called hyperlaxity, which means her joints are more flexible than most peoples'.[...]She said: "They cut the bone off but not at the right angle"

She got £38k compensation but I'd bet she'd rather have a foot that wasn't wonky!
