Children's Hypermobility Groups

Postby Traceydeborah » Wed Jun 24, 2009 8:23 pm

I have not posted much but I wanted to find out if anyone would be interested in a children's group where they could meet and play games and do fun things that would be helpful for their condition.

I know that when my son was at Great Ormand Street Hospital , though he has just turned 8, he found the children's group really helpful. He had never met anyone with the same condition and often feels isolated and lonely due to his condition ie not being able to play football because he cannot run as fast as the other boys. He came out excited that he was able to talk to other children and they in turn really understood him.

I thought that we could organise small meets and events that were not too taxing on the children but would make them all feel equal.

I live in central London, Pimlico. I would love to hear from anyone interested or anyone who had suggestions.
