Groin Injury

Postby madmum » Tue Mar 06, 2012 11:49 pm

Can anyone give advice for my son. He has been diagnosed with ligament/tendon strain/sprain in his groin from an accident. The gp cannot give extra pain relief and has said 4-6 weeks and more to heal and to take it easy. Any one know what we can do to help?

Hi x
Has your son tried sleeping with pillows between his legs ?
I haven't been able to sleep any other way for about 15years.
This does help give the groin area a rest.
lying on my side doing this is the only position I get any relief and comfort as I have same problems .
Sitting standing walking all aggravate the strain/ sprain.

Hope he mends well soonxxxx

Hi again Madmum x
No worries !
I have a body pillow which is basically about the length of my body.
I place it alongside of my body and lie on my good side with part in-between my legs and the other part I rest my arm on.
It stops my body twisting and I couldn't live without it now .
You could try two pillows in one long line so posture kept nice .

Hope he gets a better rest tonight xxx
